Sorting

Credential Clothing

To ensure the highest quality products, we have invested significant time and effort into sourcing premium raw materials, also known as "Original" or "Credential."

Original (or Credential) Clothing refers to unsorted, untouched donations that remain in the same condition as when they were given to charities or commercial recycling companies. These items are kept in their original bags, exactly as they were donated, ensuring their authenticity and integrity before being processed.

We have built strong partnerships with leading collection companies, guaranteeing a consistent supply of top-quality Original.

The clothing we process comes from cities with high living standards, home to some of the world’s most well-known apparel brands.

Used Clothing Sorting Procedure

At our sorting facility, our skilled professionals meticulously sort and grade each piece of clothing based on a defined set of criteria.

All Original (unsorted used clothing) sourced from trusted suppliers undergoes a two-stage sorting process, consisting of both a Primary and Secondary phase.

Initial Sorting Phase

During the Primary Sorting stage, all items are categorized into several basic groups, including: Outerwear, Pullovers, T-shirts, Shirts, Lower Body, Children’s Clothing, Household Items, Shoes, and Accessories.

Detailed Sorting

During the Secondary phase, each item from every basic category is meticulously graded based on a strict set of quality criteria. Our skilled professionals carefully sort over 200 different articles into various quality grades.

An experienced quality assurance team, composed of our most trained graders, oversees this process to ensure consistent and high-quality standards are maintained.

Quality grading criteria

Each piece of used clothing from the Original collection undergoes an initial sorting process, followed by grading into various quality categories based on a strict set of criteria.

We have refined these quality grading standards by leveraging our extensive experience and customer feedback to ensure we consistently provide the level of quality required to help grow your business.

The quality grade of each item is determined by its condition, brand, and fashion relevance.

Below, you’ll find our definitions for the different quality grades we use.

E (Extra Quality)

  • The clothing is in outstanding condition, showing little to no signs of wear.
  • The garments are stylish and have remained fashionable within the past 3 years. Even if new, old-fashioned clothes do not meet the Extra Quality standard.
  • Items that were initially low in quality or belonged to lower-priced brands, regardless of their condition, do not qualify for Extra Quality.

1 (First Quality)

  1. The clothing is in very good condition, showing only minimal signs of wear.
  2. The garments are stylish and have been in trend over the past 5 years. Items that are excessively outdated, even if brand new, do not qualify for First Quality.
  3. Clothing from lower price ranges or with lower-quality craftsmanship is only classified as First Quality if it remains in excellent condition.
  4. Clothes with minor defects or stains that can be easily cleaned may still be considered First Quality.

A (Second Quality)

  • The clothing shows noticeable signs of wear.
  • The trendiness of the model is not a determining factor. However, clothes that are excessively outdated and fall below the average standard for Second Quality are excluded.
  • Second Quality may include items with repairable defects or dirty clothes with stubborn stains that can be cleaned. Torn clothing or items with non-removable stains, such as paint, are not included in Second Quality.

B (Third Quality)

  • The clothing is worn but still suitable for use.
  • The items may be dirty, deformed, or have defects. However, apparel with major, non-removable defects or heavy soiling, as well as excessively worn-out items, are not included.
  • The trendiness of the model is not a factor in this classification.
